Automotive

Sometimes, specific applications demand specific tools and the range of C and D ringers is a perfect example of how BOSTITCH has developed tools and fasteners to meet these needs.

Designed for the manufacture of car seats and the fitting of seat padding and springs, the tools use rings in two distinct types, C and D (also sometimes referred to collectively as hog rings).

Choosing a Ring type

To choose the best fastener for your application, be sure to check the overall outside diameter of your materials and check the tool and ring characteristics are right, selecting the combination which will accommodate the diameter of the material and give you the desired closure diameter. Also note that rings have three measurements; open size, minimum closed size and maximum closed size and it is important to check that each is correct before making a final selection.

If the ring needs to puncture the material, say on upholstery, you may need a sharp ring. Is rust a consideration? If so you may need Galvanised or stainless steel rings.

Packaging

Specifically designed carton closing tools and fasteners will ensure your packages are sealed securely, quickly and cost effectively. Depending on the size of operation, you can select from manual or pneumatic packaging tools as well those that utilise strips of staples or those collated on a roll. In addition, we also supply packaging tools for top and bottom sealing for a truly versatile range.

The advantages of Carton Closing with staples over other methods are numerous. Staples are environmentally friendly, easy to use and 100% recyclable. Staples do not hide carton graphics or alter fastening, and are resistant to both heat and humidity and the quick fastening methods with staples results in job speed and higher productivity. Also stapling is a more cost effective method than alternatives such as tape. Most importantly however, staples offer far better strength than any other closing method.

Depending on the size of operation, you can select from manual or pneumatic packaging tools as well those that utilise strips of staples or those collated on a roll. In addition, we also supply packaging tools for top and bottom sealing for a truly versatile range.

Specialist

Given the diverse range of products in the BOSTITCH portfolio, it should come as no surprise that they are sometimes used for very specific applications. Everything from cages and lobster pots to chain link fencing can be produced using a BOSTITCH tool and fastener. In fact, if the application uses a fastener, BOSTITCH will probably have a product to fit.

Many of the specialist applications use the Hartco range of tools. These Hartco clinching tools squeeze clips around wire materials using 2000lbs of force. Built to withstand the rigours of high volume industrial use these rugged yet light tools easily absorb the day-to-day grind. These are not just hard wearing they are also low maintenance units and can apply clips as quickly as you can place the tool in position.

As well as Hartco tools, our range of C and D Ringers can also be used for very specific applications, such as chain link fencing, picture wires and small cages. These tools work in a similar way to the Hartco tools but use a ring of wire that is clinched around the application to provide the fastening power.

Construction Tools

Like any industry, production methods and safety measures are constantly evolving in the construction sector, which is reflected in the constantly evolving range of BOSTITCH construction tools and construction fasteners.
