Sales Service Technician Vacancy - Northern England
Primary Purpose
- To provide on site service maintenance and repair of Stanley Bostitch Equipment at customers premises.
- To provide full support to the Stanley Bostitch Team, feeding back information on competitor activity, identifying potential new business and increasing sales of existing products.
- Checking customer’s stock levels and taking orders, actively promoting Stanley Bostitch ancillary products and raising the customer perception of the Stanley Bostitch Brand.
- To manage the accounts being called on to ensure that we are optimizing maximum sales potential.
- Manning customer Trade Days and Exhibitions.
Accountabilities
- To carry out regular servicing and maintenance calls at customers premises to an agreed journey plan.
- To actively encourage customers to regularly review their stock levels, and in dual accounts encourage the customer to increase the market share of Stanley Bostitch product.
- To talk to customers about the condition of tools making recommendations for change / replacement.
- To maintain optimum levels of spare parts in car stock, not to exceed agreed limits.
- To provide holiday cover for other Team members when needed.
- To keep accurate records of loan tools and audits, alongside up to date service records by customer.
- To provide a monthly call / journey plan in advance.
- Correctly maintaining all service repair sheets and associated administration duties.
Responsibilities
- For maintaining all Stanley Bostitch tools in excellent working order.
- To train where requested, customers personnel in the correct safe usage of the tools & fasteners.
- To demonstrate on site at customers premises.
- To share best practice with other Sales Service Technician.
- To call on lapsed accounts within existing call / journey plan to establish what the future potential for us as a business, and to establish what competitor activity currently exists within these accounts, and report back.
Skills and Competencies
- PC & AS400 user skills, order entry, word, excel & PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 Years experience in a pneumatic service environment or equivalent.
- Full clean driving licence.
